Our School Year starts on September 3rd!
Our program for the school year will focus on the five critical domains of childhood development.
Our main goal is for our kids to have a safe place to let their brains develop at their own pace without a checklist and lots of love.
Physical
We do a lot of different games and activities (indoor/outdoor) that involve the senses, gross motor skills, and fine motor skills.
Emotional
We look at a child's ability to understand and regulate their emotions by allowing them to express their feelings and emotions in a healthy and respectful way!
Cognitive
We incorporate indoor/outdoor activities that involve brain functions such as memory, visual-spatial perception, language, attention, and executive functioning.
Our classes are not the typical circle time and lunch breaks. We are a hands-on program. We do our activities outdoors and indoors (depending on weather). We do not sit and learn, we learn while playing and exploring. We want to open the space for kids' imagination and creativity to grow. We believe academics are important but at the right time, and we plan to prepare them for when that time comes!
Language
We do activities that will involve phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics, and pragmatics.
Social
We look at how children interact with others by doing activities that allow them to work as a team. As we are teaching values and courtesy like saying "thank you," "please," greetings and more!
Primitive Reflexes
We do exercises inspired by Brain Balance research that integrates primitive reflexes.
Our program is for kids from ages 18 months up to 5 years old. We are an inclusive program, which means we do not pay attention to diagnoses.
All of our activities are open and created to interact with kids of different ages, backgrounds, personalities, and stages of development. This creates more awareness and empathy in the hearts of the kids as they grow!
Our main goal is for our cubbies to learn and grow based on love--not a checklist!
